Introduction to Search

Search, which enumerates the state space, finds the optimal solution or counts the number of valid solutions by exhausting all possibilities.

There are many optimization techniques for search, such as reducing the state space, changing the search order, and pruning.

Search is the foundation of many advanced algorithms. In OI, pure search is often a means to obtain partial scores, but very few problems can be solved with full marks using pure search alone.
